Welcome to my personal wiki.dot site, About the Author. A rather unoriginal title, but in all reality this site is going to be about the things that I do. Or at least the portions that I feel like sharing. I find it only fitting that the opening page be a small biography about myself.
I was born in Madison, Wisconsin during the year 1983. In fact, I still live in Madison and I probably will for quite some time. Madison is a city that sees quite an assortment of people, and we also make some very delicious ice cream up on Bascom Hill, in Babcock Hall. Yes. Babcock ice cream. They might be the people who supply The Chocolate Shoppe with their ice cream.
My hobbies personally include watching anime & movies - drama, action and comedies mainly - as well as attempting to draw anime. Now as of October 2010, it's been an age since I've finished (or started) anything, so take the drawing as a very side hobby. I also like to read Science Fiction/Fantasy novels. Anne McCaffrey, Mercedes Lackey, and Laurell K. Hamilton are a few of my favorite authors, but not the only ones that I read by far.
My biggest hobby is probably playing on Text-Based Role Playing Games like PernWorld MUSH, which is set in Anne McCaffery's world of PERN. The characters you see here are mostly from PERN, unless otherwise noted. To tie with the Text-Based RPGs, I also play World of Warcraft in spurts, as well as other computer games such as Guild Wars, Fallout 3, Dragon Age and Sims 3.
I also play in a semi-annual game called Ring Game, and a smaller - but similar themed - game called Second Age. Both of these events take place in Governor Dodge State Park out in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. As well as Ring Game and Second Age, I partake in Renaissance Faires and Festivals. Don't be surprised if you see me trying to flesh out a character for Faires and Fests in this space!
If you've bothered to read this far, kudos to you, and you know a bit about me now. If you haven't read this far… you're likely not reading this then, are you? If you are reading this last paragraph, enjoy the site, and let me know if you think I can improve upon anything! (Keeping in mind that I don't code.)
